Irish dental patients across the country will come forward in their hundreds to lend their support to the good work of their local dentist. The upcoming Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist Awards 2014 invites people to nominate their dentist if they believe they have gone above and beyond normal patient care. From regular check-ups to toothaches, emergency treatment on broken teeth to anxious children in need of coaxing into the chair, the stories all demonstrate the excellence of the Dental Profession in this country.

Freda Guiney from Guiney Dental Clinic, Ballincollig, Co. Cork is very excited to be nominated once again for Sensodyne Dentist of the Year. This is Freda’s third nomination having won the prestigious award in 2009; in recognition of her considerable skills in helping to make nervous or anxious patients feel more comfortable in the dentist’s chair. The Sensodyne Sensitive Dentist Awards, which are in association with the Journal of the Irish Dental Association, were put in place to highlight the excellence of the Irish dental profession and have seen a massive increase in patients coming forward to nominate their dentist by sharing their stories. The awards are supported by Sensodyne and the Journal of the Irish Dental Association.

Best of luck to Freda and all other nominees at the upcoming Gala Awards Ceremony being held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Sat the 6th of December, 2014.
